IN OUR TOWN: The Work and World of Thornton Wilder
Thursdays, January 28th – March 18th (8 weeks)
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Ages: 18-Adult
Instructor: Nancy McDonald
Tuition: $180
This class is one of a series that focuses on a specific playwright. This time it’s Thornton Wilder, He won three Pulitzer Prizes, for the novel The Bridge of San Luis Rey and for the plays Our Town and The Skin of Our Teeth. Since Our Town is in production at Lakewood Theatre during this time, we will combine the work we do in class with the actual play, and the class price includes attending the final dress rehearsal as one of our classes. By enacting scenes from his work, and inhabiting the time and place of this great playwright, we discover a little more about our own world. A winter class to warm the heart and view your acting and writing skills through a whole different lens.
