Sept 5 – Oct. 24, 2013: Entryway Gallery at Lakewood features Theresa Andreas O’Leary and Dyanne Locati

OLeary.jpgTheresa Andreas-O’Leary is a self taught painter and muralist in Lake Oswego. She has worked in all paint media, but focuses on acrylics for the vibrant color and translucency. Many of her compositions reflect scenes discovered while living in Europe and South Africa. In 2006, Terri received the Chronicle Public Art Award for her composition, Vine Light, (now in Lake Oswego’s City Hall Building) and was honored with many awards from the Lake Area Artists and Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts shows. She is represented by the Art Elements Gallery in Newberg and the Dragonfire Gallery in Cannon Beach. Theresa will be participating in Portland Open Studios in October this year.

Theresa describes her work as using, “embedded light circles and gold metal leaf to guide the viewer through my compositions. Striated layers of paint and dressmaker pattern paper add depth and texture, weaving ghostlike images, referencing a stained glass aesthetic.”

Locati.jpgAward-winning artist Dyanne Locati winters in the Phoenix, Arizona area and summers in Portland, Oregon. She owned and operated the Locati Creative Art Center, teaching and organizing workshops and classes in all media. She continues to teach and take a variety of art classes and workshops. She helped create the Colored Pencil Society of America. Dyanne served on the national board for six years as Executive Vice President and Director of International Exhibitions as well as acting as the District Chaper 201 president. She has been a member of SPLASH, an Oregon professional artist group for over 20 years, a member of the Arizona Watercolor Association, Vanguard Artists, an invited member of The Critique West Group and an active member of the Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona.

She has been asked by authors and art magazines to write articles and provide step-by-step material for various publications. Her artwork has been included in private and public collections.
