Lakewood in Lights 2013

Supporters of Lakewood Theatre Company at Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon gathered to raise funds during Lakewood in Lights on Monday, December 2, 2013.

Andrew Edwards, Executive Director of Lakewood Center for the Arts, acted as master of ceremony with auctioneer Brian Bice. Together they encouraged the sold out crowd of 220 guests to raise more than $44,000 for the Rising Star Program. This program nurtures and develops emerging and established artists through performance and education opportunities at Lakewood.

The Rising Star Patron Award was presented to Tracy Barry and Larry Blackmar who have helped promote the development of artists at Lakewood. Their leadership has garnered $270,000 for Lakewood Programs and continues through the annual Lakewood in Lights gala.

Erin Shannon was presented the Rising Star Artist Award in recognition of her ongoing achievement as an artist at Lakewood. As an actor, dancer and choreographer Erin’s talent has touched and inspired every cast member she has come in contact with at Lakewood. She won an Oregon Theatrical Society Award for her choreographic work in The Producers and was featured in OPB’s Art Beat program.

Performances from Stephanie Heuston, Ben Farmer, Scott Parker, Ashley Hayter, Jay Pevney, John Killeen, and John Quesenberry brought focus to the talent Lakewood nurtures through performance and education opportunities. Many made Lakewood in Lights a gala to remember during the celebrations.
