A Tribute to Ray Charles

 

Patrick Lamb at Lakewood - A Tribute to Ray CharlesPatrick Lamb and Friends will present A Tribute to Ray Charles with net proceeds benefitting Japanese relief efforts.

Sponsored by Kruse Way Rotary, the concert will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday May 11, 2011 on the Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Center for the Arts.

This marks the seventh year that Kruse Way Rotary has held a concert benefiting a need in the world.

Headline musician, Lamb, has his musical roots from his days growing up in Mississippi when he immersed himself in the music of performers such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. In the 1980s his family moved to Portland, where Lamb’s career really took off. 

His show, A Tribute to Ray Charles, debuted at the 2005 Waterfront Blues Festival and also opened the 2007-08 Oregon Symphony Pops season.
