Re: Traffic Alert in Lake Oswego

Railroad Crossing – 48-hour weekend construction planned in Lake Oswego for August 15-17

PLEASE plan extra travel time when coming to our show Unnecessary Farce this weekend.

The City of Lake Oswego is installing a major pipeline in downtown Lake Oswego under the railroad tracks on State Street. Crews are required to work continuously, day and night, for one 48-hour period. This will occur over the weekend, from Saturday August 15 at 8 a.m. until as late as 8 a.m. on Monday August 17, near the intersection of A Avenue and State Street.

Several lane closures will be in place in the northbound and southbound lanes between B Avenue and Foothills Road. Both northbound and southbound lanes of traffic will likely be diverted into a single lane with flaggers directing traffic. Lakewood is three blocks from this intersection on State Street so please anticipate possible delays!

Flaggers will be stationed along State Street at B Avenue, A Avenue and Foothills Road, and the traffic signals will be turned off.

We appreciate your patience during this crucial step in construction and we look forward to seeing you at the theatre!
