A Zoom acting class with a focus on skills for film and theatre. With the atmosphere of a “company of players,” you’ll work on scenes and monologues, inspired by the instructor’s coaching and direction, and there will be the benefit of having the recording to learn from each week. Requirement: Students will need a strong wi-fi connection and be sure to download the Zoom app. Come from wherever you happen to be and bring your ideas for scenes and monologues! Maximum 10 students.

Make them laugh in this fun exploration of comic acting. Using improv and some of the best written comic scripts around, you will discover your own sense of humor and comic timing, all the while developing skills that will help you lighten the mood and brighten your world. Find out how the pros do it and try it out yourself with an instructor whose comedic experience includes theatre, film, TV, sketch comedy and standup. Returning students welcome.

ACTING FOR ADULTS

If you’re new or remembering your love for acting, it’s never too late to be in the limelight! Share your passion in a supportive environment, whether it’s just for enjoyment, or to pursue job opportunities in television, film, and theater. Have fun learning a variety of skills including improvisation, commercials, interviews, scene study, and auditioning techniques. Sandra Peabody is an Emmy-award winning writer/producer/director. She represents talent for TV/Film work in the Northwest and Los Angeles. Limited to 8 students.
REGISTER HERE DANCE AUDITIONS FOR MUSICAL THEATER

Tuition: $20 per student
Ready to sharpen your dancing skills? Prepare for your next musical theater dance audition with this practical workshop! Learn how to enter the room with confidence, gain tangible techniques to help you learn choreography and perform well quickly, and leave with an individualized audition plan you can customize and use. We will begin with a mock audition, and then follow with practical applications of the tips provided to cultivate and build your skills. The workshop will end with a second mock audition to allow you to practice using some of the techniques discussed. Come ready to dance!
All information will be presented in one workshop. However, participants may sign up for multiple workshops for additional practice and the choreography will be new for each session.
Class limited to 20 students.

Adult Beginning Ballet is for the absolute beginner interested in trying ballet in a supportive and welcoming environment. Students will be introduced to basic ballet technique and terminology through barre work and center work. They will gain a basic understanding of ballet posture and positions while building strength and flexibility. Form fitting clothing is strongly recommended, and ballet slippers are required.
