“What is Art?” Exhibit in Gallery Paired with Artist Talks After Select Performances of ‘ART’
Eight extraordinary local artists with tremendous backgrounds and rich art histories will be exhibiting their work during Lakewood Theatre Company’s production of ‘ART’ from Oct. 26 – Dec. 2, 2012.
They bring to the renovated foyer interesting color, shape and a great setting for the current presentation of ‘ART’. Art is subjective, emotional and sometimes controversial. The art work exhibited will provide a springboard for the never ending discussion, “What is Art?”
The discussions will take place in the new entryway after the show and will be an interactive dialogue between two of the exhibiting artists, actors from the production and the audience. Wine and concessions will be available for purchase.
The dates for the after show talkbacks are:
- Nov. 4th: Dave Haslett & Jan Rimerman (matinee)
- Nov. 8th: Bruce Ullrich & Patricia Schmidt (evening)
- Nov. 25th: Ann Munson & Sonja Donnelly (matinee)
The exhibiting artists are Bill Baily, Sonja Donnelly, Dave Haslett, Ann Munson, Michael Schlicting, Patricia Schmidt, Jan Rimerman, Arletha Ryan and Bruce Ulrich.
