The Lake Oswego Preservation Society has collected an amazing array of footage from the community and the Oregon Historical Society for a new film project that will debut at Lakewood Center for the Arts on May 30 at 2:00 PM and June 7 at 7:30 PM.

The film, entitled, The Reel Lake Oswego, will offer never-before-seen glimpses of Lake Oswego’s past ranging from a clown diver on Oswego Lake in the 1930s to sky divers floating to earth for the Boones Ferry Day Celebration in the 1960s!

These images create a lasting legacy for the community. The film is professionally produced by Kate McMahon Productions. To our knowledge, no other community of our size has gathered historic film footage for such a purpose.

The Society was awarded a $4,000 grant from the Clackamas County Community Partnership Program which funds about half the cost of production. In our effort to screen this film for the community without an admission charge, the Preservation Society seeking additional financial support.
