The Arts Council of Lake Oswego is hosting the 2015 Holiday Gallery for the fifth year. The thirty award winning artists will be found at the 510 Museum & ARTspace displaying handcrafted one-of-a kind treasures. This year there are seven exciting new artists along with your favorites. The gallery will offer paintings, glass, ceramics, fiber, furniture, stone and metal sculpture, photography, jewelry, paper & poetry, handbound books, prints, wood, and lamps.

There are 60 dove ceramic ornaments hidden throughout the Lake Oswego community for the second annual community treasure hunt. The 3 ½” doves are placed in select city parks, on the sculptures in the Gallery Without Walls, and in local businesses. The doves are made from fired white porcelain imprinted with vintage crochet with a blue glaze. Every dove is unique and handmade by famed potter, Dorothy Steele. Each treasure hunt dove is signed, dated and numbered. Watch for clues on social media for the doves not yet found. Dove ornaments will be for sale at the 2015 Holiday Gallery beginning November 19th.

Dove finders will have not only a collectible ornament, second in the series after last year’s stars, but will receive a customer reward at the gallery. Dove finders can receive their award between December 1st through December 23rd, by bringing the ornament to the gallery to receive 10% off their total purchase that day. Dove ornament findings will be reported on social media with the City and Arts Council, and in the Lake Oswego Review. When a dove is found a photo will be taken of the finder and posted in the gallery.
