The Lake Area Artists Annual Art Show and Sale returns to Lakewood Center for the Arts with more than 400 original paintings created by its forty members in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, collage and encaustic. This year, the Lake Area Artists will present their work with the encompassing “#FullSpectrum” project and introduce new members of their group. The show runs April 21–23 with artist receptions on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22 at 5–8 PM.
The focus of this show, titled the “#FullSpectrum” Project, consists of a wall of color that spans the color spectrum and is comprised of individual 8”x8” paintings donated by Lake Area Artists. These individual paintings will be on sale at the show at $60 each. Proceeds from the #FullSpectrum sale benefit Art Scholarships at Lake Oswego High School and Lakeridge High School.
The Lake Area Artists will also be presenting their newest members: Lorraine Bushek (oils), Patrice Cameron (watercolors) and Steve Kleier (watercolors). Guest artists to the show include Tom Willing (wood turning). The show will be judged by Bradley Lawrence, a Board Member and Advisor to Lawrence Gallery.
