Accountant/Bookkeeper (PT)
About the Position: Position is 30 hours per week, reporting to the Executive Director. Hourly wage starting at $21/hour DOE. The accountant oversees all financial functions of this organization which has annual revenues over $2.1 million. Position is open immediately. Availability should be at least 3 days per week, regular business type hours, although ability to work 3-4 hours per day, Monday-Friday, would be preferred.

Responsibilities include:
Supervising deposits, paying bills, reconciling and managing bank accounts, preparing monthly financial statements, processing payroll, producing year-end 1099s, organizing information for an annual audit, preparing financial info for grant reporting and other duties as required.
Skills needed:
• QuickBooks Pro – high level of experience with this accounting program
• Accounting experience – 2 years accounting experience. Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Excel & Word experience
• Self-starter and self-disciplined – You are able to work independently on concurrent projects with multiple deadlines. Procrastination is not a word in your vocabulary. You can manage your time efficiently.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
