A special message to our current Subscribers
Welcome to our 68th season! The 2020-21 season promises to be an entertaining repertoire of theatre gems! We begin with the Portland premiere of a just-released new musical, Something Rotten! Set in 1595, the story follows the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, who struggle to find success in the theatrical world as they compete with the wild popularity of their contemporary William Shakespeare.
We then journey on the rails with detective Hercule Poirot in the iconic classic, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. To usher in the holidays, we present Elf the Musical, adapted from the film that imagines a young elf trying to get his father off Santa’s naughty list.
The new year brings Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, a memory play filled with hopes and desire. This is followed by Ken Ludwig’s comedy, Leading Ladies, featuring two down on their luck actors who try to pass themselves off as relatives for an inheritance.
Our season wraps up with the story of young King Arthur, Guenevere, and Lancelot in the classic musical, Camelot, featuring the memorable tunes of “If Ever I Would Leave You,” “I Loved You Once in Silence,” “The Lusty Month of May,” and of course, “Camelot.”
