Corinna Campbell-Sack loves to paint the natural world. Campbell-Sack states, “uncultivated landscape is a constant source of inspiration for my work,” a conviction that is evident in her paintings. The lush forested mountains in the Pacific Northwest, sculptural rock formations of the Oregon coast, and the beauty of the Gorge intrigue her. The history and scale of these varied, untouched terrains offer up mystery and wonder as she interprets and paints them in luscious watercolor compositions. She is particularly interested in our state and national park systems, and uses her talents to honor that legacy.

“I hope I can help a viewer see some beauty in nature that they might have missed on casual observation. I am often delighted by smaller and more intimate views of nature,” Campbell-Sack reveals. The intricacy of our environment is unveiled in the detailed paintings in this exhibition. Her exhibit runs in the Lakewood Entryway Gallery from July 18 through September 11, 2017.
