ANNUAL MEETING – LAKEWOOD THEATRE COMPANY dba LAKEWOOD CENTER FOR THE ARTS

The annual member meeting of the corporation will take place in the morning on Friday, June 30, 2012 from 8:00 – 9:00 AM at the Headlee Mainstage, Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. Below is information regarding matters to be discussed.

Matters to be considered at the annual meeting of the corporation:
  

  1. Selection of Officers for the Board of the corporation
 

  2. Selection of Directors for the Board of the corporation

The following individuals are recommended by the Nominating Committee to serve on the Board of Directors.

The expiration of their term is indicated in parenthesis after their name.

 

   1. Selection of Officers:
       

For officers in the 2012-13 year the Nominating Committee recommends the membership re-elect current Board member and President, Fred Baldwin, as President of the board for a one (1) year term for the year 2012-13. It is further recommended that current Board member, and Secretary/Treasurer, Don Irving be re-elected as Treasurer for a one (1) year term for the year 2012-13.



OFFICER BIOS:



FRED BALDWIN – PRESIDENT (officer term expires 2013,) a Lake Oswego resident, has served in leadership roles with the Lake Oswego Library Board, Lake Oswego Reads, Mortgage Bankers Association, Halfway House and New Avenues for Youth. He has been a frequent sponsor and participant in Lakewood programs and is the recipient of the Citizen’s Award from the City of Lake Oswego. He has served on Lakewood’s board since 2008. Mr. Baldwin, a former mortgage banker, is now an owner of World Class Wines in Lake Oswego.

DON IRVING – SECRETARY/TREASURER (officer term expires 2013) a Lake Oswego resident, is a retired Engagement Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Irving is an Adjunct Instructor at OHSU teaching courses in health care finance, managerial accounting and corporate finance to graduate students in the health care and technology fields. His civic volunteer activities have included Saturday Academy, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Lake Oswego Rotary. For Lakewood, he has served on the Festival of the Arts finance committee for the last four years and as Treasurer for two years.  _______________________________________________________________________

DIRECTOR BIOS:



JOHN BRADSHAW (2015),  is president and general manager of Portland Transmission Warehouse. He has served on the boards of the Salvation Army, Southwest YMCA, Lake Oswego Corporation, Willamette Light Brigade and the Dorchester Conference. He is a former chairman of the Lakewood Neighborhood Association and Oregonians for Cost-Effective Government. Mr. Bradshaw has been on the Lakewood Center board since 1994 and has served terms as Lakewood’s treasurer and president.

JOANN FRANKEL (2013), is the returning President of the Lakewood Center Associates, a support auxiliary of Lakewood. Joann has worked with the State of Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industries and was a manager of civil rights field offices throughout the state of Oregon. In the private sector she has been a manager of family rental properties and the proprietor of an Indonesian furniture and accessories retail/export company. In volunteer service she has served as President of Surabaya Women’s Association in Indonesia, President of the Jakarta American Women’s Association and board member of the Singapore American Women’s Association.

DAN HEINE (2015), a Lake Oswego resident, is the President and CEO of The Bank of Oswego. His civic activities have included board service with the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, Oregon Historical Society, Janus Youth Programs and Lines for Life (formerly Oregon Partnership). Mr. Heine also volunteers his time for continuing education with the Oregon State University School of Education and Georgetown University. For Lakewood, Mr. Heine has been active with the Theatre Enhancement Committee and the Marketing Committee. He also has been instrumental in sponsoring an enhanced media campaign in the local papers focusing on Lakewood activities.

DONALD L. IRVING (2015),  a Lake Oswego resident, is a retired Engagement Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Irving has served as an Adjunct Instructor at OHSU teaching courses in health care finance, managerial accounting and corporate finance to graduate students in the health care and technology fields. His civic volunteer activities have included Saturday Academy, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Lake Oswego Rotary. For Lakewood, he has served on the Festival of the Arts finance committee for the last three years. Mr. Irving chaired the 2009 Lake Oswego Rotary-Lakewood Center Lobster Feed & Charity Auction and will be the Lake Oswego Rotary President in 2012-13.

LELAND "ROCKY" JOHNSON (2015,) a longtime resident of Lake Oswego, served many years as a Senior Vice President with Bank America and has worked with Willamette University in their development office. As a volunteer, Rocky has served as President of the Willamette View Foundation, President Elect of the Willamette University Alumni Association, board member of Oregon Independent College Foundations, Past President of East Portland and NE Portland Rotary, board member of Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, and United Way Chairman for Bank of America in 1998. Rocky has been active with Lakewood Center as a volunteer fund-raiser and Steering Committee Chair of Lakewood’s new Stage House project and as treasurer and president. He has been on the board since 1998.

LOIS MITCHELL (2015), a Lake Oswego resident, has been a volunteer for many civic activities. A brief listing includes: Long Term Care Facility Certified Ombudsman, Assistance League of  Portland, and CASA. For CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children) she has served as a fundraiser (10 years), Board Member (6 years), and Executive Director (2 ½ years). She was very involved in L.O. School District for several years and was a  Co Founder of the Coordinating Council. Prior to moving to Lake Oswego she was on the David Douglas School Board (2 ½ yrs).  Have also been involved in Lake Oswego Women’s Coalition (steering committee and Chair), League of Women Voters and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She is also a water color artist, member of Oregon Society of Artists, and WOW (Women of Watercolor) where she has shown and sold her artwork. 
 

The board of directors wishes to express its appreciation to Sandy Hageman and Dr. Rolf Sohlberg who will be retiring from the board this year. Your years of service are very much appreciated!
