About the Festival of the Arts: The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts is an arts education event of the Lakewood Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. It is held the weekend after Father's Day each year and attracts nearly 25,000 people. Contributions to the Festival are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our tax ID number is 93-0700108.
Mission Statement: The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts’ primary goal is arts education and the celebration of culture & community through art.
Event Profile: The Festival takes place at the Lakewood Center for the Arts and George Rogers Park, both on State Street in downtown Lake Oswego, Oregon USA. It is sustained by valuable partnerships with the City of Lake Oswego, Clackamas County Tourism and Development Council, the Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Oswego Rotary Club, the Lake Oswego School District, small and large businesses, the "Friends of the Festival," plus more than 500 volunteers who work throughout the year and the weekend to make the Festival the success it is.
Festival Do's and Don't's
Do: Have a way to collect payment. There are NO atm's near by. There is free wifi provided for the vendors that is different from the public wifi. We will get you that password soon.
Don't: Put stakes in the ground in the park. Your tent must stand using weights. The City of Lake Oswego can and will remove stakes found pounded into the ground.
Do: Sign up for group texts! To help disperse information quickly, we’ve got your cell phone on file and may need to send group texts for load out information, emergency broadcasts, and more. Remind.com might send you an opt-in text. Please accept it.
Don't: Let anyone drive onto the field. If your customer needs to pick up art, please have them head to art pickup, which is on Green Street. They can let security know they're parking temporarily to pick up artwork.
Do: Promote the Festival! Get Art in the Park images to send to your collectors, followers, friends, and family at the bottom of this page. Use the hashtag #artsinlo when posting on Instagram!
Don't: Forget to post your booth number and your artist statement. Help patrons find you by having your booth number clearly posted, preferably outside your tent. The Festival is an arts education event of Lakewood Center for the Arts. We expect you to display a process statement in your booth that includes your photo and images that illustrate the process and materials you use. As part of our mission to educate the public, we recognize that people will place a higher value on artwork when they understand the vision and labor that goes into creating your art.
Do: Take care of yourself. The hours are long- please take care of yourself and reach out to Nicky with concerns. In case of extreme weather, we will let everyone know of any changes as soon as possible. Your safety and comfort is a priority!
Don't: Send someone else to run your booth all weekend. Your patrons will be thrilled to meet you face-to-face during the Festival! We ask that the artist whose work is juried is present during the show.
Booth sitters are available to provide 15-minute breaks to artists during the day. If you requested a booth sitter on your Online Agreement, you can expect a booth sitter to come by and give you a 15-minute break.
“Day-of” booth sitting appointments are available on a first come, first served basis.
Request a booth sitter at the Information Booth or flag down a booth sitter who is circulating among the booths. Sitters wear bright yellow aprons and BOOTH SITTER buttons.
Brenda Boylan will canvas the field on Friday. We know your work is incredible! Here is what they're looking for in award winners:
Your overall booth experience: How is your work displayed? Is it easy to see? Is the artist available for questions? Is the presentation cohesive?
Your setup: Is your work presented in a fashion that invites the visitor in? Are prices and information easy to read? Does your booth and how you display your work draw people in, make them curious, and wanting to learn more about you?
Pastries, fruit and coffee are available in the morning. On Sunday, 6/28, we bring in a hot breakfast for the Artist Awards! You can find bottles of water at the Information Booth, but we also have refill stations if you have your own bottle.
We’re excited to celebrate you at our Art in the Park Artist Award Reception. Head to the big tent in the park Sunday morning at 8am for a hot breakfast and to learn who has won awards!

If you have an accessibility sticker or plate, we can reserve a space for you adjacent to the park entrance. Let us know your vehicle dimensions, so we can accommodate your needs. Please contact Nicky for a special artist parking pass.

3. For original 2D work, no more than 30% of the work shown may be reproductions. A maximum of two browse bins is suggested.
