Facility and Room Information

Lakewood Center for the Arts is conveniently located on South State Street (HWY 43) at the south end of Lake Oswego.

Our facility offers a variety of rooms to host dance lessons, community events, corporate meetings, memorials, birthdays, full theatre performances, and more.

The Community Meeting Room (CMR), on the lower level of the building, has windows on two sides and is decorated with a forest green and cream color scheme. A full catering kitchen is attached to the space. The room comes with tables, chairs and place settings for up to 150. With two projectors and screens, microphones, and a podium, this space is perfect for large meetings, luncheons, memorials, or birthdays.

Our three upstairs rooms– the Ballet Studio, Tap Studio, and Art Room– can be used for a variety of activities.

The Ballet Studio can hold up to 55 people and is perfect for private dance classes, recitals, or rehearsals. Keep in mind, the Ballet Studio flooring does not allow for any kind of street shoe. Only suede, canvas, or leather soled shoes are allowed to prevent floor damage.

The Tap Studio can hold up to 20 people and is great for smaller dance classes, aerobics, or rehearsals. Street shoes are allowed, however, dance shoes are still preferred.

The Art Room can hold up to 30 people and is often rented for meetings, art classes, acting lessons, and private rehearsals. This room is equipped with a projector and screen, whiteboard, and tables and chairs for up to 30.

Warner Hall can hold up to 35 people and is typically used for small acting classes and rehearsals only. This room is styled as a typical "black box" theatre, and has no built in seating.

Headlee Mainstage Theatre has 234 seats, 12 of them being ADA accessible. The theatre can be rented for private performances, show rehearsals, lectures, movie screenings, and presentations. While lighting and sound is available, they are not included in the rental price. Light and Sound technicians are available for hire and will invoice the renter separately. A House Manager, Stage Manager, and Box Office personnel are also available for hire and will be compensated at their typical hourly or flat rate by the renter.
