About the Lakewood Center Associates

In 1984, a group of eighteen visionary theater enthusiasts formed the Lakewood Center Associates. This organization is the support auxiliary for the Lakewood Center for the Arts and provides invaluable assistance through their fundraising and volunteering at the Center. The group has contributed to building renovations, landscaping, arts education, play sponsorships, and student scholarships. The Associates have also donated countless hours of their time to programs such as the Lobster Feed, Festival of the Arts, Lakewood in City Lights, and other events held for the community.

History of the Re-Runs Gift and Consignment Shop

When the organization first began, its founders decided to raise funds through opening a small thrift shop. Over the years, Re-Runs has blossomed into one of the region’s most highly regarded gift and consignment stores. Over eighty Lakewood Associates serve as sales associates over the course of each month, and fourteen Board members offer the oversight, training, bookkeeping, and management of the operations.

Treasures found in the shop change daily. Tuesdays are an especially busy and exciting time to be at Re-Runs. Between 10 am and 12:30 pm, eager consigners show off their items and confer on sale prices with the consignment staff. Once an item is sold, 60% of the price goes to the consigner, while 40% stays with Lakewood to help support its arts programs for the community.

Donations are the other big piece of the puzzle. When someone donates items to the shop, they receive a tax receipt and 100% of the revenue benefits the Lakewood Center. Community members who are downsizing, moving, or just doing spring cleaning find the shop to be a wonderful way to help their precious items find a new and welcoming home.

Re-Runs is located on the main level of the Lakewood Center for the Arts at 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. Its hours are 10 am to 3 pm, Monday through Saturday. The store will also be open for the hour preceding each performance of Lakewood’s mainstage musical Singin' in the Rain, which runs from April 26 through June 9.

The Re-Runs 35th Anniversary Celebration and Sale will be held on Saturday, May 18 between 11 am to 4 pm and on Sunday, May 19 between 11 am to 2 pm. Drop by and join in the festivities!
