ACTING FOR NON-ACTORS

If you’ve always wanted to try acting, this popular class is for you! Come and have fun while you learn theatre skills and techniques that will enhance your ability to think on your feet and feel comfortable and relaxed in front of others. Return students welcome.

HOW TO TELL YOUR STORY

Ages 18-Adult (8 weeks)
Instructor: Nancy McDonald    $100
Start with improv, add comedy, a pinch of stand-up, a smidgen of story theatre and a bit of character and you have a true and rewarding concoction. Whether it’s storytelling, monologue work, comedy or public speaking, learn to tell your story using the art of the actor in a non-threatening, creative environment.

CHILDREN’S BEGINNING ACTING   

Ages 7-10 (8 weeks)
Instructor: Shelly Lipkin    $120
A fun and exciting way to develop the skills essential for the young performer, while enhancing social skills, self-expression and confidence. Work with a professional actor and director as you explore the basics in improvisation, warm-ups, movement and theatre games, in a relaxed and supportive environment.

BEGINNING TO INTERMEDIATE ACTING & SCENE STUDY

Ages 11-18 (8 weeks)

This class will emphasize scene work using improvisation technique, character analysis, monologues, script breakdown, and audition techniques.

TV/FILM ACTING

Ages 8-18 (8 weeks)
Instructor: Sandra Peabody    $160
Get a taste of stardom and have fun while developing your acting technique through on-camera experience. Practice improvisation, presentation, and audition skills using commercial, film, and TV scripts (both comedy and drama). Parents are invited to observe the last class in action! Each class limited to 8 students.

TV/FILM ACTING

Ages 19-Adult (8 weeks)

Improve your acting and presentation skills through on camera experience. Practice improvisation, interviewing, auditioning and speaking, using TV/Film scripts. Limited to only 8 students.

KIDS CREATE!

Ages 4-6 (8 weeks)

It’s time to play, create and act! Every week new games, stories, fairytales and adventure! Through art and drama, kids develop a sense of confidence. Come play!

ICE & ADVENTURE

Ages 6-8 (8 weeks)
Instructor: Liz Hayden        $100
The students will create this show from scratch using imaginations.  Through brainstorming, art, games and play, the show will be developed and perfomed by the end of the session. Always a surprising, silly and brilliant masterpiece.
